Accessibility
Selja Health is committed to ensuring digital accessibility for people with disabilities. We are continually improving the user experience for everyone, and applying the relevant accessibility standards.
Conformance status
The Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) defines requirements to improve accessibility for people with disabilities. It has three levels of conformance: Level A, Level AA, and Level AAA. This website is partially conformant with WCAG 2.2 level AA. Partially conformant means that some parts of the content do not fully conform to the accessibility standard.
Measures we take
- All text was checked against its actual background for a minimum contrast ratio of 4.5:1. The lowest ratio on the site is 4.71:1; body text runs at 17.1:1.
- Every page has one first-level heading, headings descend without skipping a level, and content sits inside named landmarks with a skip link to the main region.
- Keyboard focus is always visible: a 2px outline in a colour that clears the 3:1 non-text contrast requirement against every background it appears on.
-
Motion honours
prefers-reduced-motion. Entrance animation is removed entirely for readers who ask for that, while colour and opacity feedback is kept, so nothing becomes harder to follow. - Every image carries a text alternative, or is marked decorative where it carries no information. The transfer decision figure carries a written equivalent of the comparison it draws.
- Buttons and navigation links meet the 24 by 24 pixel minimum target size from WCAG 2.2; footer links are 44 pixels tall.
- The site works with JavaScript disabled: every page renders in full, navigation works, and no text is reachable only through an interaction. One diagram shows its finished state rather than stepping through it, and its written equivalent is present either way.
Known limitations
Despite our best efforts, the following are known issues. We list them so you know what to expect, and we are working on them.
- No assistive-technology testing yet. We have not yet verified this website with a screen reader or with voice control, so there may be barriers that automated testing and code review do not find. We are scheduling that testing to be complete by 31 December 2027, and we will update this statement and the conformance claim above when it is. If you hit a barrier before then, please tell us using the address below and we will treat it as a priority rather than waiting for the audit.
How we tested
This website was assessed by self-evaluation, most recently on 25 September 2026. Contrast ratios were computed from the site's own colour values rather than estimated; heading structure, landmarks, text alternatives, keyboard order and focus behaviour were checked against the published pages; and an automated testing engine (axe-core) was run against every page at desktop and mobile widths, reporting no violations.
That assessment has not been reviewed by an independent auditor, and no automated engine catches everything. Its limits, and the date by which we will close them, are set out under Known limitations above.
Feedback
We welcome your feedback on the accessibility of this website. If you encounter a barrier, please tell us. We try to respond within a few business days.
